Some frogs decided to lay their eggs in standing water on my hot tub cover. Naturally, my family and I didn’t notice these eggs until they became tadpoles and we happened to stumble upon the growing babies one day. Seeing as we didn’t want to stunt their growth or have them freeze over the first cold night, Sam and I spent an hour collecting all of them into 4 jars and taking the jars to a pond in her neighborhood where they may live and prosper… or die due to natural predation. But atleast that’s helping someone else survive right? as opposed to letting them shrivel up.
They were some of the most interesting things I had ever observed. They resemble mice, but when you got close enough, you could see the sweet little eyes that could only be a frog’s and the cool back with the slimey spines already growing on.
